Absolutely not! This is a no-monthly-fee checking account designed to reduce fees, not add them. That said, it’s only $5 to start and (minimized) fees will apply if your account is overdrawn by greater than $50.* Because fifty bucks on up is no longer close enuff!

Is the $50 buffer the same as overdraft protection?

[It sure is! If you accidentally go over your balance by up to 50 bucks, relax, we won’t charge you any silly fees. Why? Because it’s CloseEnuff™! That said, if you do happen to go over the $50 buffer cushion, we're still looking out for you. Because we’re one of the first in Michigan to completely eliminate the balance transfer fees and reduce the Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) fee to the bare minimum of $9. Which is all you’ll pay if you do go over the $50 CloseEnuff™ overdraft protection buffer.

How does Buy Now. Pay Later! work?

It’s super simple! Make purchases with debit card. Check “Buy Now. Pay Later” in your orsa Digital Banking app up to 60 days after the purchase. View available offers on eligible purchases. Decide which purchases to split over time. Select the installment plan that works for you. See your purchase amount deposited back into your account within 24 hours!

Instead of sitting around waiting for a paycheck that we know is coming, we’re simply turning the “pending” status to “available” so we can put your cash in your pocket up to two days earlier. There's no fee to use this feature, and it's automatic!

What are the different overdraft fees? When do they apply?

CloseEnuff™ checking is designed to boost your cashflow by keeping your money where it belongs—in your account. So we’ve cut, reduced, and eliminated all kinds of fees to save you more. Including charging only a bare minimum fee for overdrafts that go beyond our $50 buffer. Overdraft balance transfer fee? Eliminated. We’ve completely eliminated the overdraft balance transfer fee, so when your CloseEnuff™ checking account is linked to an orsa savings account with overdraft protection turned on, you won’t pay anything when it kicks in… Because it automatically pulls from your savings to cover a checking overdraft. No muss. No fuss. You can even turn on overdraft protection right from digital banking, if it’s not activated already! Non-sufficient funds (NSF) fee? Minimized as much as possible. If you do not have an orsa savings account with overdraft protection turned on and are not enrolled in Courtesy Pay, an overdraft of more than $50 will result in an NSF fee of $9 and the transaction will be declined. Avoid this by making sure that overdraft protection is on and that you’re enrolled in Courtesy Pay through digital banking. Courtesy Pay fee? None for overdrafts $50 and under. If you are enrolled in our Courtesy Pay program and try to make a purchase that will overdraft your account, the transaction will be processed and orsa will cover the difference so long as it’s within your account’s Overdraw Tolerance limit. Your account will be overdrawn by the amount borrowed from orsa. When you overdraft by $50 or less, there’s no fee! That said, any amount over $50 incurs a $25 Courtesy Pay fee for each transaction up to a maximum of three times per day.
